Great food and service. Would recommend to anyone. The prime rib was good and cooked properly. Service was fast and she was very attentive.

Stunning view of the children's water park was fully immersive thanks to the leaking ceiling in the dining room. Had the foresight to tell the server I would be using a voucher purchased online and was told my savvy consumerism disqualified me from the early bird specials. This was a kind gesture, as they failed to mention that anyone using a voucher had an automatic gratuity added to their check. I guess they didn't trust me to calculate the tip on the twenty five bucks I was saving. Like tipping for good service? Right on! Like tipping for bad service? Well too bad, cause either way you're coughing up an extra 20%. Now shut up and eat your wiener schnitzel (best in 1000 miles!). One star given for the laugh I got out of the "additional gratuity" line on the receipt.
While on vacation this week we ate dinner at Martin's. It's unlikely we will return. It's not that it wasn't satisfactory, but there are so many other pretty high quality restaurants in this area that the competition is pretty stiff. Let me say that the service was excellent and the soup and salad that come as part of every entree was very good. Other than that, our meals were just "OK."

Been coming here since 2010. On this trip, discovered that Martin's now has a happy hour from 4 till 6 p.m. Two dollar beers and four dollar wine and liquor drinks. People need to check it out. Beth, the bartender, is outstanding---so accommodating and helpful. Of course, we had some apps that were excellent as usual. Had the frog legs and the hubs had his escargot. We love to support local businesses and try to avoid the kitsch of the buffets and chains. We have enough of that in Charlotte. Can't wait to come back next year and hopefully see Beth still tending bar with a very busy happy hour. Upscale atmosphere at affordable prices!

Decided to eat in for dinner after a fun filled day at the beach with our 5 year old. We are foodies with high expectations. From Martin's homemade dressings to the perfectly cooked grouper, we were pleasantly surptised. Exceptional restaurant and service.

DISGUSTING! Went for breakfast . Not only way over priced w/ a small selection... the food was so disgusting. Literally, not one thing was good. The best thing there was the orange juice! I can't believe the rating they even have. NEVER again!
We go to Martin's every year when we come to Myrtle Beach. My wife and I don't eat seafood, so I can't tell you about that. However, the steaks are amazing! We like to eat early, and the early bird menu is awesome. For $17.00 you can get soup, salad, filet mignon and pan fried potatoes! Highly recommended.

Sorry. Overrated. Not impressed. The rolls were dry and it seemed everything fish or seafood was delivered in a pool of buttery sauce that overpowered the main food it was supposed to enhance. (And i'm not sure it was real butter in the sauce -- it didn' t have the mouth feel of real butter.) We ordered the scallop cake (forgettable), the grouper francaise (egg batter and pool of buttery sauce were too dominant for the delicate fish) soft shell crab (tasty, but swimming in a pool of buttery sauce) and grouper with shrimp and asparagus (can't recall the name of this dish but, you guesed it, the dish had an egg batter that was too dominant and it was swimming in a pool of flavorless buttery sauce). A few bites of the shrimp had a slight ammonia tang which suggested it was none too fresh. Maybe it was an off night but i would not recommend this restaurant.

No Breakfast for moi.... Very good value....kind of European..or Continental food... $5.50 for a bowl of mussels ?? practically free...Probably frozen, but handled properly, not overcooked. Salad was fresh out of the dole bag...but not wilted...pre made in the bowl. I prefer the salads to be plated just before serving....the house-made water cress dressing is superb. Nice house wine I have never heard of .....but still quite tasty. Easy covered parking...even in tourist season

Had the breakfast buffet ($6.95) Price includes milk, orange juice and lemonade, and omelet station. Food on breakfast buffet was okay, not great, but okay for the price. Martins is located at the Long Bay Resort. For those of you who play golf, Long Bay Resort is near Cane Patch 3 par.

Ugh don't bother. We arrived after 8 on a Friday night and the restaurant was empty. Maybe this is a restaurant for retired early birds but they probably don't eat here either. Soup from a can, salad from a bag and grouper probably from Walmart frozen fish dept. My husband's schnitzel was marginally better. He saw it on channel 33 and wanted to come here. Going to make him take me to Painters to get rid of the taste.

We went for the early bird specials...and the food and service were wonderful. Our waiter allowed us to enjoy our meal without being over attentive. Everything we ate was delicious. We had dessert which was prepared expertly at our table. We will be back!

Breakfast buffet was very good, although the selection was small. The host (who I believe is the owner) was also very friendly.

Unfortunately it wasn't as great as we had hoped. Salads and soup were great with the early bird special. However, I was super excited for the $9 Bananas Foster and it was a HUGE letdown. The alcohol was overwhelming, the bananas never caramelized and the soupy mess melted all of the ice cream in seconds. It was NOT good and VERY expensive. The creme brûlée was also disappointing because of the strong taste of brandy. Chicken Marsala and shrimp scampi were ok.

Martins was a great place to eat. There were a lot of unique items on the menu. I had the Tornado Neptune and my wife had the Scallops Denai. Highly recommend the scallops. The salad of all things was brilliant with the homemade dressing. Try the Italian...trust me. Tomato basil soup was the only weak part of the meal. Too much purée or nutmeg. If Martin had a ocean front restaurant it would be the bomb! Ambience was a little too "70's" for me.
